Nvidia and ATI to speak together at GDC Europe - Benjamin Sun
Richard Huddy from NVIDIA and Jason Mitchell from ATI are scheduled to speak on DirectX 9 Shaders on DirectX 9 hardware at the Game Developer's Conference Europe . Click here for the brief on the talk. Looks like DX9 and the associated hardware is going to be ready soon.

Our Cg article will have to wait for another day but here's some highlights on the new high level shading language introduced by Nvidia today:

1. It's widely supported by 100s of game developers
2. Current version supports DX8.0 and OpenGL 1.3, future versions will support DX9.0 and future OGL (2.0 etc)
3.NV30 will be Nvidia's fall part .
4.  Kurt Akeley had this to say:
The biggest revolution in graphics in ten years and the foundation for the next 10

5.It uses a industry-wide standard shading language
